 | amon düül II. live in munich 1969. untitled jam. revisited.
Tags: amon, demons, duul, düül, fassbinder, improvisation, kraut
Description: this is amon düül II playing live in front of an invited audience in munich probably in 1969. this untitled jam was used in the film "niklashauser abfart" by rainer werner fassbinder in 1970.
you can see and sometimes hear: renate knaup vocals / chris karrer violin / peter leopold drums / john weinzierl guitar / lothar meid bass / shrat bongoes. the guy playing maracas at the beginning of the clip might be falk rogner or dieter serfas.
rainer werner fassbinder, günther kaufmann and some friends are seen smoking unaffectedly...
(technical and personal fuzziness forced me to re-upload this incidence. please vote and comment again...)

Description: ADII's second consecutive double album (after the thunderous Yeti) is a humdinger! The opening epic, Syntelman's March Of The Roaring 70s is intriguing, bewitching, astonishing - this short passage is part break beats, funk folk and grooves with an intensity that fans of Talking Heads loved at the end of the decade........... Shuddering imagery from a needlessly complicated British low budget thriller set in pre Wolfenden London. 'Girl In The Headlines' is most notable for the fantastic cast: Ian Hendry, Jane Asher, Jeremy Brett... Plus Ronald Fraser (the man with cinema's tiniest mouth) and also the plummy voiced James Villiers, the cadaver on the floor of a crummy gaybar. The parade of vicious rent boys, disgraced toffs and pasty faced necklace-twirling old queers reflects the values of a less enlightened time...... For those yet to see the light with 'Tanz Der Lemminge' do persist - this album contains many sublime prog passages. Tiny parts of each composition will worm their way into your head - the slippery song titles titles are mouth watering.... Telephonecomplex; Restless Skylight-Transistor-Child; Dehypnotized Toothpaste; A Stop at the Transsylvanian Brain-Surgery; Over Heated Tiara; H.G. Well's Great Take Off; The Marilyn Monroe-Memorial-Church; Chewinggum Telegram; Toxicological Whispers are about half of the titles and an amazing thing is, I don't think I'll ever know which title applies to which bit of music.
