David was born in Seoul, Korea on May 18, 1954. His birth name was Lee Seung Chan. He was adopted by his wonderful American parents, Russell and Nancy Spradley when he was 3 years old and moved to the United States where he became a naturalized U.S. citizen.
At the age of 4, as soon as he was able to reach the keys, David started playing his grandmother's old piano. He has continued his love of the keyboard as a professional musician over the past 30 years, expanding his professional life to include playing keyboards, producing, writing, and recording for a number of various internationally known artists.
