I had trouble just reaching 300k on this song on Rock Band 1, and now I'm able to gold star it consistently and without even trying on Rock Band 2. This is all thanks to the new Breakneck Speed preference that acts like Hyperspeed in Guitar Hero. To confirm this among EVERYBODY who doesn't already know, Hyperspeed/Breakneck Speed is a preference for how you want to interpret the notes in the song. Some people are better by seeing what notes will come following the ones they're playing now, and some prefer only paying attention to the notes having to be played at that moment. Because of this, Hyperspeed/Breakneck Speed isn't considered a cheat. If you still think it is, despite this being the thousandth explanation of it, then either you're a tough cookie or hardheaded.
Anyways, yeah... This is my second run ever of playing the song on Rock Band 2. My first run was only 1k more so I didn't bother re-recording it to try and beat it since it wasn't by that much. You can tell that I really need to work on the zig-zag sections in Solo 2, since I nearly failed at one point. I'm able to hit most of them consistently in RB1 without Breakneck Speed, so that goes to show that some patterns are better off with/without the preference based on how you read those patterns.
Next video will be an FC video, but I'm not sure of what. I reverse choked Rock Rebellion earlier today (missing a note in the early beginning where it's all easy, then FC'ing the rest of the song) so I'm pretty pissed off about that and don't feel like playing it again. Then there's Ace of Spades, where I keep missing in the same place in the solo and getting -1. =( Expect a Disturbed song.

Kind of a drawn out song, probably the only interesting part is the middle blue stream of notes, otherwise it's more a test of concentration than technique or anything.
Didn't do the external view at first because I forgot to press record on the camera, so i don't have footage up until then.
Also, if you're wondering how I got 100%, it's because I hit the bass pedal where there wasn't a note: that's what I get for playing this when I was tired. Only broke combo twice because of this.
The pads are shaking so much because of the sock mod: i'm not hitting them all that hard.

I'm using the "Destroyer Pedal" in this video: you can get it at http://www.rockbandpedal.net/ I HIGHLY reccomend this pedal for expert-level players: it makes it SO much easier to do quick hits and overall is extremely sensitive to both soft and hard hits, yet it'll never double-hit on you.
