Pungent Stench was a darkly humorous death metal band from Vienna, Austria who formed in 1988. They pitched in for a split lp with fellow country men Disharmonic Orchestra and out of that fuzzy gem this song came around to uplift my hopes in way of a cool mix of death-grind-thrash genre bending. Treacherous time shifts, precise stop on a dime thrash riffage and slimy gutteral vocals. Too bad I couldn't get into their later work.

Alongside other splatter metal groups such as early Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, and Macabre, this Vienna, Austria, trio garnered an audience that developed a near fetish for anything the group released.

Pungent Stench was a legendary Death Metal band from Austria,Vienna. They were formed in 1988. They released their first demo "Mucous Secretion" in 1988. After this they released a split with Disharmonic Orchestra (Also from Austria) through Nuclear Blast. After one EP and split (With Benediction) they recorded their legendary "For God Your Soul... For Me Your Flesh" in 1990. Their legendary second album "Been Caught Buttering" was released in 1991. Their lyrical themes are mostly bizarre. Like perversion,molestion,sex,obscenities...
They disbanded in 2007 (Which sucks big time!).
