When von Braun was alive and working the Americans started their billion dollar spending on things like sending humans into space, as if the problems on the planet we've already got wasn't big enough. The first eight bars is Lehrer playing the intro to "Deutschland Deutschland über alles". This was also the first Lehrer song published on this channel and the opening credits even spelled this von Braun guy's first name wrong. I'm sorry for that. Sometimes Lehrer himself would cover other people's songs, but they were always credited. "Poisoning pigeons in the park" is a true Tom Lehrer original. Some people have written messages to this channel, angered because of the posting of this song. They are "friends of all animals", which basically means that they didn't get it.
