 | Winter in Canada. Elissa Gabbai

Description: I have another version of this song by Mireille Matthieu up on my channel; it is the most popular video amongst my offerings. Therefore, when I was offered a file off the original recording by Elissa Gabbai, I jumped at it. I paired it with photos of the Russian countryside in winter, and, I think this is one of my more integrated and inspired productions.
Vielen Dank, Arnold, for sending me the music. I dedicate this video to you.
Also, it gave me a break from my translation work, which has taken all my free time. As long as the crisis in Serbia persists, I have a duty to provide material in English on the situation. I beg your understanding.

 | Banff In The Winter, Alberta, Canada
Tags: Alberta, Banff, Canada, Park, skiing, Tourism
Description: The western section of the Canadian Rockies, Northwest of Calgary, is one of Canada's most spectacular regions. Banff National Park is one of four adjoining mountain parks that comprise some 5,200-square miles of Rocky Mountain landscape. Banff comes to life in the winter as it fills with skiers and snowboarders headed for Sunshine Village, Lake Louise and Mount Norquay. It starts snowing in October, so skating and cross-country ski conditions are ideal for more than half the year.

Description: Sung in German by a French singer against a backdrop of Russian paintings by Nikolai Sverchkov. A veritable slumgullion! Just as in the classical Mulligan stew, this juxtaposition works!

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in Winter
Edmonton (IPA: /ˈɛdmɪnˌtɪn/) is the capital of the Canadian province of Alberta. The city is located on the North Saskatchewan River in the central region of the province, an area with some of the most fertile farmland on the prairies. It is the second largest city in Alberta after Calgary, with a population of 730,372 (2006),[1] and is the hub of Canada's sixth largest census metropolitan area, with a metropolitan population of 1,034,945 (2006[2]), making it the northernmost North American city with a metropolitan population over one million.
At 684 square kilometres (264 sq mi), the City of Edmonton covers an area larger than Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto or Montreal. Edmonton has one of the lowest population densities in North America, about 9.4% that of New York City. A resident of Edmonton is known as an Edmontonian.
Edmonton serves as the northern anchor of the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor (one of four regions that together comprise 50% of Canada's population) and is a staging point for large-scale oil sands projects occurring in northern Alberta and large-scale diamond mining operations in the Northwest Territories.
Edmonton is Canada's second most populous provincial capital (after Toronto) and is a cultural, government and educational centre. It plays host to a year round slate of world-class festivals, earning it the title of "The Festival City".[3] It is home to North America's largest mall and Canada's largest historic park. In 2004, Edmonton celebrated the centennial of its incorporation as a city.
